Instructions for using your school account for writing and printing

Steps to install free NX

Install Free NX
1. This program works on Windows, Linux and some Mac's.
2. Open a web browser and go to http://www.sd73.bc.ca/download/
3. Download NX Client
4. Open the file that you just downloaded.
5. Click “Next”, “Next”, “Next”, “Install” and “Finish”. (you do not need to change anything)

Free NX is now installed.
Setup School Connection
1. Click “Start” => “All Programs” => “NX Client for Windows” => “NX Connection Wizard”
2. Click Next >
3. Type in the Session box: Aberdeen
4. Type in the Host box: vs1.aberdeen.sd73.bc.ca
5. Type in the Port box: 55557
6. Adjust the slide bar to match your home Internet connection. ADSL=Shaw; MODEM=dial-up
7. Click Next >
8. Click Next >
9. Check “Create shortcut on desktop”.
10. Click Finish.

You will now see a quick connect icon on your desktop.
Login to Aberdeen
1. Open the Aberdeen link on your desktop.
2. Type in your Login and Password that you use at the school.
3. Click Login

*** When you are finished your work, please remember to logout by clicking “K” => “Log Out...”
*** You may have to reboot your workstation after you install NX Client.
